  • FUTURE PROJECTS NEEDING GRANT MONIES:

         CHAPEL SLATE ROOF REHABILITATION

SPRING STREET GATE AT WINTER VAULT REPAIR & REHABILITATION

  • FENCES - Initially a 6’ black aluminum fence was installed on Spring Street thanks to the generosity of Logan Marks, replacing a very ugly rusted chain link fence. Logan furthered his generosity at a later date to install 6’ black aluminum fencing along Coral Street and School Street, donating almost 90% of the cost, also replacing very ugly chain link fencing. Once that fencing was completed, the Cemetery added 40’ - 6’ black chain link fencing with privacy slats behind 88 School Street. Four-foot black chain link fencing was added along our westerly property line northerly from Spring Street then continuing westerly behind the neighbors on Spring Street to our westerly property line behind the neighbors on School Street. We have one more section to go to complete are intended fencing along our westerly property line.co

  • GRAVESTON CLEANING AND REPAIR - We have hired Josh Glazer to clean and restore gravestones as monies allow. He has been doing a superb job.

  • CORAL STREET ARCH - The 7 ton arch at the Coral Street entrance has been knocked down twice and according to the Vermont granite people may have many internal cracks which may shatter if it falls again. We decided to move it to the corner of School Street and Coral Street to give the Cemetery a more visible presence for passing motorists and pedestrians.

    COLUMBARIUM - A 24-niche Columbarium and area amenities have been added on Morse Avenue.

  • WATER SYSTEM - Spigots upgraded and attached to new Stanchions and water buckets

  • TREE REMOVAL - The removal of diseased trees is an ongoing project as money is available.

  • SIGNAGE - Rules and Regulations signs have been placed at the two main entrances to the Cemetery, as well as smaller versions at each water spigot.

  • ROADWAYS - Street signs installed on most Avenue intersections. 3 Eagle Scout Projects.

  • ROADWAYS - Spring Street entrance was regraded and repaved to do away with the puddle that occurred after every rainstorm. Also paved intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Pleasant Avenue.

  • ROADWAYS - The gateposts at either end of Greenwood Avenue have been engraved for better visibility.

  • ROADWAYS - The rusty chain link gates at either end of Greenwood Avenue have been removed.

  • ROADWAYS - Raised two manhole covers on Greenwood Avenue.

  • ROADWAYS - Repave intersection of Morse Av., Cross Ave. and Hewitt Circle.

  • CHAPEL - Roof tightened and broken slates replaces, Brickwork and granite steps pointed and sealed, Shed entry to basement repaired and painted, Ceiling and walls repaired and painted along with the vestibule ceiling, Floor sanded and refinished, Added two new sconces to the walls and hung a light in the vestibule, Basement windows have been removed and replaced along with Plexiglas protectors and Plexiglas installed on the Spring Street window, Carpet runner installed, Chairs in the apse have been re-upholstered.
