MANSFIELD SPRING BROOK CEMETERY SPRING STREET FENCE PROJECT

The Mansfield Spring Brook Cemetery Corporation Board of Directors would like to offer our “over the top” appreciation for the gift of a new black aluminum fence along our Spring Street frontage. The money for the fence was raised by the Marks family in honor of Joel Marks who passed away recently after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Logan Marks had promised his father that he would be laid to rest in a beautiful place. Seeing that Spring Brook Cemetery was in need of a little love, he approached the Board to see if he could do something for the Cemetery that would add to its already expansive beauty. Working with Logan we came up with the idea of replacing that portion of rusted chain link fence along the Spring Street frontage.

Logan started a Go-Fund-Me page and opened an account at Mansfield Bank in late September to accept donations for this project. By late November he had raised enough money to cover the cost of the fence. The order was placed with Fences by Legge & Sons of Norfolk, MA and by the end of December the Project was completed. The fence has received resounding kudos for its added enhancement of the Cemetery.
